Dedicated to empowering skilled individuals across genders, the Pakistani American Skilled Women Organization (PASWO) strives to break barriers and foster unity. Our mission is to provide unwavering support, mentorship, and resources to all skilled individuals, with a particular emphasis on promoting the advancement of women. We are committed to creating an inclusive platform where diverse talents thrive, transcending cultural boundaries and promoting personal and professional growth.
PASWO envisions a future where skilled individuals of every gender, ethnicity, and race are recognized, respected, and equipped to excel in their chosen endeavors. President
Shaheen Khokhar, dedicated President of the Pakistani American Skilled Women Organization since 2021, brings a wealth of experience as a former school teacher at PS 187. With a passion for education and empowerment, she has seamlessly transitioned her skills to lead our organization, fostering a supportive community for Pakistani American women to thrive personally and professionally. Shaheen’s commitment to inclusivity and her background in education make her a driving force behind our mission to empower skilled women in the community.
Advisor
Salman Zafar is Living in New York since 1980 immigrated from Lahore Pakistan. Worked with Habib Bank for few years, worked as restaurant manager at TGIF restaurant in Manhattan for 17 years, worked at Warwick hotel for 5 years as manager in Manhattan. Currently Healthcare professional, community activist, president Pakistan People’s Party Human Rights Wing USA, helping communities while volunteering, support community needs as needed. Volunteer with other community organizations such as Indian, Bengali, Nepalese, Muslim, Hispanic communities also work closely with Mosques across New York. Provides resources to organizations.
